How I work...
- I work with openness and honesty, and I share my experiences with my clients to empower them in all areas of their lives.
- I believe that you are the expert of your life, and that you have the ability to make the changes you want. As a therapist, I join you on your journey toward self-actualization and support you along the way.
- My clinical work is based on social justice and a desire to help you understand yourself in relation to your social environment.
- My approach to therapy can be solution-focused at times, helping you with an issue that is affecting you right now. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions to help you reduce symptoms and improve functioning.
- I think there is value in exploring your past relationships, identifying patterns of behavior, and processing those experiences together.
- I provide a space for you to process your encounters with racism, discrimination, prejudice, and oppression by affirming your intersecting identities and validating your experiences.
