About The Author

Bedford Palmer II, Ph.D.

Dr. Bedford Palmer is a licensed psychologist and an Associate Professor at Saint Mary’s College of California. He holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and researches issues related to social justice and cultural factors. Dr. Palmer is the founder and CEO of Deeper Than Color, a group private practice in Oakland, California, where he and his team work with a diverse clientele and provide multicultural competence training to individuals and organizations. He has ten nieces and nephews and a great many little cousins. Dr. Palmer is a self-described huge nerd, who loves sci-fi, anime, and fantasy. He is happily married to the most amazing woman that he has ever met, and he has two dogs that are definitely smarter and cuter than yours (at least in his eyes).
