How I work...
- Deciding to engage in therapy is an important step in one’s life and I am honored by the opportunity to join in this journey with you.
- My work with clients begins from a place of genuine curiosity and authenticity.
- As a relational-cultural narrative therapist I believe that the person is not the problem. The problem is the problem and we work together to develop and implement effective tools aimed to address the problem.
- People are defined by stories. Typically stories that have been assigned to them. When these stories become problematic, people can become stuck. In our work, we will examine these stories and help you develop new, healthy and authentic stories for your life.
- Within our lifetime we also encounter a series of connections and disconnections that shape who we are and how we relate to others. During periods of stress, disconnections can occur in an individual’s life and, as your therapist, I seek to assist you with understanding these disconnections and building healthy connections in your life.
- I provide an empathetic and compassionate container for clients who are struggling or feel stuck in their lives.
- I engage in culture-centered practices, where the role of culture is seen as integral in understanding one’s journey.
- While relational-cultural narrative therapy guides my work, I also other incorporate evidenced-based practices and cognitive behavioral therapy to address maladaptive patterns and behaviors.
- My areas of expertise include working with BIPOC and diverse LGBTQ+ communities.
- I provide online Individual, Couples, or Multi-Partnered Relationship Therapy for Adults 18+,
- $225 per 45-50 minute individual therapy session
- $250 - $375 per 50-80 minute family, couples, or multi-partnered relationship therapy session
- $50 added for each added adult partner after two.
